User experience and the user interface design for a social app created by a Toronto entrepreneur.
Textegami, developed in collaboration with Build4Tech, needed an intuitive, visually engaging mobile app for a Toronto client. The challenge was to design a seamless user experience and interface while integrating a complex backend system, ensuring the app was both functional and aesthetically compelling across multiple devices and platforms.
I led the UX and UI design for the app, collaborating directly with systems architects to plan, design, and develop the digital solution. This included building a fully functional Firebase app with Authentication and Cloud Firestore backend systems, creating a tested Data Endpoint API, and optimizing the interface for performance and scalability. By applying principles of typography, color, layout, and iconography, I translated complex system requirements into an intuitive, engaging interface that highlighted key features and set the app apart from competitors.
The app was successfully launched and is available for free on both the Google Play Store and App Store. The project demonstrated my ability to solve complex UX challenges, design high-quality interfaces, and collaborate closely with technical teams to deliver a fully functional, visually compelling digital product. It also deepened my expertise in end-to-end mobile app development, from ideation to deployment.
